The Role:

 

á          Promote the services to existing and new clients within the agreed sectors

Set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside in an area of outstanding national beauty, my client is a health and fitness club that boasts a state of the art range of facilities along with an 18 hole golf course.

They require someone with an active, get up and go sales mentality that will have Overall responsibility for the Sales Department. This includes member generation, working with the General Manager with all internal & external sales and marketing, financial controls for the department, training and staffing levels through effective management controls and motivation of the sales team. Being passionate about fitness is preferred but not essential.

Key tasks Include:

 

-          To be responsible for the achievement of the membership revenue targets as agreed in the annual budget.

-          To be responsible for the development of the clubÕs monthly sales and marketing plan and the implementation of the strategies, as agreed with the general manager/group sales manager.

-          Recruit, train, manage, motivate and develop the sales team, appraising them on a regular basis in accordance with established criteria.

-          Monitor that all sales procedures are being correctly implemented and used to generate new leads and convert enquiries to business.

-          To ensure that the current sales audit criteria are in place and are met. 

-          Oversee the call activity and contribute to ensure the daily telephone call rate is achieved.

-          Manage the computerised membership and prospect system and provide accurate statistical information as required by the General Manager and/or Head Office on a regular basis as required.

-          To be responsible for the marketing collateral of the Club and ensure that all material is correctly published and presented in accordance with the agreed standards, both internally and externally. Including the update of the clubÕs membership enquiry packs.

-          Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient supplies of membership information and literature are available at all times.

-          To be responsible for all costs related to the sales & marketing department and ensure that costs are kept within the agreed budget and no unauthorised expense is made.

-          To complete an up to date competitor analysis report every 2 months and email to group marketing and sales.

-          Be self-sufficient on lead generation and follow up, initiate referrals, outreach, in-reach and any other means deemed necessary by the general manager/group sales and marketing.

-          Attend weekly management team meetings and report all membership matters.
