The Job
As Senior Account Manager, you are a key member of the Agency.
You must be comfortable handling virtually all meetings, seeking support from line managers, colleagues and direct reports as necessary.  In these meetings, you are expected to extract verbal briefs from the Client and advise them on services to help them to achieve their objectives and to assist the agency to achieve its revenue targets. You must be comfortable discussing budgets with them.
You will help pitch for new business and must have the confidence to contribute ideas and talk knowledgeably to prospects in order to establish credibility and help win the business.
You must be committed to providing the very highest quality of customer service, inspiring your colleagues to do likewise. This requires a friendly, outgoing yet robust personality, capable of leading by example.
You will report into a Group Account Director, Motivation and work as part of a small, established team consisting of Account Managers, Account Executive, Data Administrator and Administration Executive.
You will have a number of direct reports.  You will be responsible for motivating, managing and appraising these people, ensuring that they share your high standards.

 Desired Skills & Experience

Key responsibilities:

á          Responsibility for management and development of a number of accounts including; strategic input, client relationship management, thought-leadership, pro-active planning and activity and financial budget management and reporting.

á          Management of both client contacts and a team of up to six people

á          Leadership of accounts Ð value of £4,000,000+ per annum

á          Pro-active development of the company including leadership on acquisition and conversion of sales leads

á          Delivery of on-going client satisfaction and pro-active development of client relationships/business especially senior management

á          Mastery of all account management processes Ð programme development and management, reporting and budgeting

á          Management of both permanent and temporary staff allocated to your account teams

á          Participation in both service development and marketing/new business initiatives

á          Support of the MDÕs strategic approach for the management and culture of Ovation Incentives

á          Team-player (without ego!) who is willing to get his or her hands dirty

á          Creative, results-oriented approach to the role. Ability to think up multi-strand programmes incorporating corporate, business-to-business, and technology initiatives

Account Manager - £30k plus benefits

My client is looking for a stellar account handler (bright graduate, client account handling / marketing experience) to join their busy office and develop a career in Incentive Marketing.   The role incorporates developing and managing reward and motivation programmes for their national and international client base.  You'll need a good brain and lots of energy as your day will be jam-packed taking care of our clients, developing their accounts and up-selling our services to them!

New media, html knowledge will be advantageous and a track record in client handling is essential.  Experience in the incentive, reward and motivation industries is preferable but not essential, however a proven interest in business, communication and marketing is key to the role as you will be dealing with senior level people and need to be able to grasp how our incentive and motivation programmes can have a positive effect their business. Training programmes and further professional learning programmes are encouraged.  Fluency in a foreign language is advantageous but not a requirement.

The successful candidate will be expected to nurture existing clients, up sell and maintaining long term relationships.  Therefore, your proven relationship building skills are a prerequisite in order to be successful.  You will also be expected to join new business teams for client pitching on a regular basis, which means your tenacity and ability to spot opportunities is just as essential.
