Contentious Probate Associate - Berkshire

Job Description

Our client are a leading Legal 100 firm with an enviable reputation for all private client and contentious trust and probate matters. Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially-minded individual (NQ ) to join their Contentious Private Client team based in Berkshire. This contentious trusts team is a part of the wider dispute resolution team which is top-tier rated within the legal directories outside of London and represents an exciting step-up for the right person considering a career move.

The team frequently advise private banks; trust companies; and high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of disputes including;

  • Breach of trust and directions claims;
  • Court of protection disputes;
  • Challenges to will validity
  • Executor claims
  • 1975 Act claims;
  • Professional Negligence
  • Beneficiary disputes
  • Asset tracing;
  • Undue Influence matters.

We would like to speak with individuals who can demonstrate a consistently strong academic record and genuine appetite for business development. You will have trained with a recognised regional or city firm and have completed a minimum of one seat (6 months) within dispute resolution - preferably with some contentious probate exposure.

Core skills required: Clear Communication; Time management; Research/Analysis; Teamwork; Working under pressure; Client engagement; and, Business development.
