The Challenge

I pitched to a very young and well-funded Start-Up with an Operations SaaS Platform called Next Matter based in Vienna and Germany to exclusively hire for their commercial roles. Firstly they wanted a Head of Sales, which I found within 2 months of an extensive search and multiple interviews to find the right profile.

Next up was a Head of Customer Success who was to take control of the Account Management and Customer Success functions.

The Solution

After meeting with the COO and CEO, I had the exact profile of what was needed for the role. They were looking for a remote candidate with experience in SaaS as well as a varied background in verticals. The role also required to work in some US time zones as some of their first customers were based there

The Result

Due to the need of working in varied backgrounds and SaaS experience, I started to target consultancy backgrounds with this experience.

We made the hire in Germany, with the COO meeting him in person in Vienna for the final interview and he started after his 3 months’ notice period. He is still thriving at the company and has grown alongside them with a team of his own covering multiple regions globally.
